Charlie Hart
for Senate
I’m Charlie Hart, a lifelong rural Pembina resident,
4th generation farmer, an NDSU graduate with a degree
in Plant Sciences. During my 30 years running our family
farm I experienced droughts, floods, embargoes,
23 percent interest loan rates, low commodity prices,
but also had the satisfaction of helping feed the world
and raising my family within the farm community.
I served on the local elevator board, school board,
Crop Improvement board, and after transitioning
out of farming became involved with
UND’s Conflict Resolution Center.
I ran Pembina County Soil Conservation District,
conducted field assessments for Natural Resource
Conservation Service and Farm Service Agency. In these roles I was provided an opportunity to serve landowners in NE North Dakota addressing county, state and federal agricultural concerns.
I joined the agriculturist team at American Crystal Sugar assisting area farmers working within the corporate structure. I am a lifelong Joliette Township Supervisor and an active member of Fort Pembina Historical Society. I was appointed to Pembina County Job Development Authority in 2019 and serve as Treasurer for District 10 Democratic-NPL.
I believe we as a society are moving into a time of rapid change. We need intense focus on these issues: rural healthcare, investment in infrastructure,
boosting our education system and achieving property tax relief.
Simply put, I believe in grassroots democracy. We need to put people first, instead of profit. Working beside District residents I have gained an understanding of what is required to reset our path toward a better life and supporting communities. My focus is on problems facing rural ND. Elect me to ND Senate and I will work on real issues affecting our daily lives.
Stay healthy and strong, we are North Dakotans!
